Why we’re building Judiscend
The answer arrives.
The judgment is yours.
The more AI can do, the more your own judgment matters.
AI can draft, search and summarise better than most of us. Ask it anything and an answer arrives in seconds. What it can’t do is live with the consequences of a decision. That part is yours, and so is the thinking behind it.
Most of us never write that thinking down.
We remember what we concluded, rarely why. We almost never note what would have changed our mind. So when things turn out differently, it’s easy to remember our earlier view as closer to what happened than it really was. Without the original words, there’s nothing to learn from.
A judgment you can check.
“This sounds right” is hard to come back to. A judgment gives you more to work with: what you think, why you think it, how sure you are, and what would prove you wrong. Add a date, and it becomes something you can check.
“US inflation will still be above 3% in the March figures. I’m wrong if the March report shows 3.0% or lower. Fairly sure, about 70%.”
That’s a small, made-up example. The point isn’t the forecast. It’s that the person who wrote it now has something concrete to come back to.
What “let your judgments grow” means.
Write each judgment down. Check it against the facts on the day you set. Then revise it, or let it go. Judiscend keeps how it changed: the first version stays, and the new one sits next to it with its own reasons and date.
We don’t promise you’ll judge better. We make sure your thinking is there to look at, honestly, when the facts come in.
Who it’s for.
Ordinary people who like to think for themselves: someone who owns a few stocks and wants to understand them, someone who reads and wants to keep what they read, someone with a decision they keep turning over. Not people who want to be told the answer. Judiscend doesn’t give investment advice, doesn’t read for you, and doesn’t decide for you.
How we make money.
You pay once for the app. There are no ads, no account with us, and your records live on your Mac, not on our servers. They aren’t our product. The AI you use is your own choice, paid directly to whoever provides it.
